Atmosy

What if a simple controller could create the perfect atmosphere?

Description

Atmosy emerged from a simple frustration: smart homes have become fragmented and fatiguing. Scattered apps, constant micro-decisions, and device-specific controls mean that instead of feeling at home, users manage a control room. The project’s core question was: what if you could change your environment the way you change your mood, not device by device, but all at once?

Atmosy is a smart home interface built around six modes that follow the natural rhythm of a day: Wake Up, Focus, Work, Rest, Chill, and Sleep. Each mode orchestrates lights, temperature, sound, and smart devices together, shifting the environment as a whole rather than adjusting individual settings. Transitions happen gradually over 20 seconds, mimicking natural environmental changes rather than abrupt switches.

The physical interface is a soft six-button remote with no screen, no blue light, no app navigation, no hierarchy to navigate. A single button press is all it takes to shift the entire environment. Over time, an “Invisible Butler” learns when modes are repeatedly overridden and quietly adjusts defaults, so the system fits the user rather than the other way around.

Atmosy works with existing hardware (smart bulbs, thermostats, speakers) without requiring replacements. All processing stays on-device, keeping data private and the system independent from cloud services.
