Christophe Stoll, born 1976, lives in Hamburg and has been designing digital products and services for 25 years.
His career path led from positions as designer and creative director at agencies, through founding his own design studio and six years as Head of Design on the client side, to his current independent work.
His portfolio spans a broad spectrum — from album cover design to applications in music production, journalism, and e-commerce, to designing for large conferences. He was involved in developing a complex POS platform with integrated inventory management and online shop. Alongside project work, he critically examines design processes and tools and has co-developed several design tools as part of his practical work.
Since 1999, he has been co-owner of a record label and produces electronic music — after a twenty-year hiatus, his new album was released in June 2025. His experiences from music production, live performance, and sound design for theater projects shape his experimental approach, which is based on improvisation and curating happy accidents.
